Emirates Stadium Mid-summer 2007

it was almost mid-summer's evening, and this was shot near sunset. It is a Photoshop panorama, about nine images from the Canon 350 EOS, using the 24-105 mm lens set at 24 mm, all hand-held. This photo shows the interaction of sunlight on building elements usually not highlighted, eg the underside of the stainless steel roof, and the blue sky over the pitch seen through the glass wall. There's also the very soft light from a cloudless sky, which 'mellows down' the new panelling on the superstructure. There's just enough undirected light in the shadows to make a '3D' effect.
I printed three of this image, all for local Arsenal fans who run restaurants or shops; it looks good at 1 metre long behind glass

Kid in the Tube 1988

We both enjoyed making this shot. The sitter said he 'thought it was pretty cool' when I sent it to him rcently.

Canada Water Autumn 2007

The reflection is very deep in this shot. I enjoy the composition, being in third's and repeating on the right.

Heron Quays Autumn 2007

I used the Pentax K-1000 with colour slide film (Fuji Velvia 50). It was a photo-shoot with friends on a Saturday afternoon, and the light was very good and bright.

Finsbury Circus Summer 2008

I had just bought the Lubittel medium format twin lens camera, and I dashed out to use it that afternoon. I do like this photo, especially for the building massing and the medium grey tones throughout.
